A New Year Prayer
Gracious God,
As this new year unfolds before me, I place it gently into Your hands.
Thank You for carrying me through the year behind me—
for every joy that lifted my spirit and every trial that shaped my faith.
Go before me now.
When the path is clear, keep me humble and grateful.
When the way is uncertain, grant me courage and trust.
Teach me to begin again when I stumble,
to be present in each moment You give,
and to move forward with gentleness toward myself and others.
Fill my days with holy wonder—
that I may notice Your presence in small things,
hear Your voice in quiet moments,
and recognize Your grace woven through ordinary life.
Root me in love, steady me with peace,
and guide my steps according to Your will.
May this year draw me closer to You
and shape me into a vessel of compassion, faith, and hope.
I offer this year to You, Lord.
Lead me, hold me, and renew me.
